"Skollies tried to rob my car and as I was running towards my car, they came for me and hit me with a brick in the face and I fell down.

Then they hit me with another brick at the back of my head. I had lots of surgeries at the Groote Schuur Hospital and was told to come in and see Danie there on a clinic day. Danie assessed me and gave me the Metro District Health Services Eye Prosthesis Application Screening Form to complete.

I went to the KTC hospital where the form was completed and I made an appointment to come in for the manufacturing of my artificial eye. We started the morning early and had to stay in Bellville the whole day, but later the afternoon, the whole process was done and I walked out with my new “eye” and I am very happy!"
