Is there a South African Society of Ocularists?

Yes, there is the Ocularist Association of SA, to which all registered ocularists must belong.

The Society is called Ocularists Association of Southern Africa (OASA) and the website is, www.oasa.org.za. All registered Ocularists must belong to this association.
