WHO ARE WE :
In a nut shell, we are professionals who manufacture and fit individually designed artificial eyes and scleral lenses. In a broader sense, an ocularist will take care of your ocular prosthesis (the correct term for false, fake or glass eyes) and the socket as well as related problems such as lids, conjunctiva and postenucleation socket syndrome (see FAQ) |
|
LOSING AN EYE :
The traumatic experience of losing an eye, whether through trauma, pathological or congenital reasons can be eased by the knowledge, skill/expertise, and experience of our in-house team of ocularists and technicians. Please read more about your specific condition be it micro-ophthalmia (under-developed eye) pthisis bulbi(damaged, shrunken eye), endophthalmos (born without an eye) , retino-blastoma(cancer of eye in children), melanoma, in our FAQ section as well as patient testimonials. |

WORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS :
Working closely with the other professionals involved such as ophthalmologists (eye specialist), optometrists or oculoplastic surgeons, anomalies such as a lid retraction, deepened upper lid sulcus or ptosis (lax upper lid)can be identified and managed. We then achieve a beautifully matched prosthesis or scleral lens with maximum mobility necessary for a realistic -looking, comfortable and hassle-free result.
